How to change the world with your career (and why I chose tech)

Using her career to change the world started to seem childish about six months after graduating - when Sally became aware of the price of adulthood and she still hadn't landed a single job interview. Luckily, she'd heard of a movement called Effective Altruism, which tries to use both the head and the heart to find out how to do the most good possible. Learning about these ideas ultimately led her to plunge into tech as a career.
