Phil Hawksworth (MC) – Netlify

Phil is Director of Developer Experience at Netlify.
With a passion for browser technologies and the empowering properties of the web, he loves seeking out ingenuity and simplicity, especially in places where over-engineering is common.
Over 25 years of building web applications for companies such as Google, Apple, Nike, R/GA, and The London Stock Exchange, Phil has worked to challenge traditional technical architectures in favour of simplicity and effectiveness.
Phil is co-author of “Modern Web Development on the Jamstack” (O’Reilly, 2019).
Alice Bartlett – Financial Times

Alice is a senior developer at the Financial Times. Before this she has worked for the Government Digital Service, BERG, and IBM.

Ruth John – { Live : JS }

Ruth is a web developer and creative technologist, who has enjoyed a career spanning over a decade working on websites, applications and most recently interactive art projects.
She likes to educate people about new web technologies and inspire them to try them, coming up with exciting and engaging ways to use them, as well as interesting integrations into everyday development.
As a Google Developer Expert and founding member of { Live : JS } she’s almost always got a conference talk lined up, article ready to be published or live show tour date in the diary.
Katie Fenn – NPM

Katie is a software engineer with ten years of experience working with JS, CSS and PHP. She is usually up far too late working on open source projects or playing video games, and up far too early watching motorsport.
Alberta Soranzo – Lloyds Banking Group

An incorrigible nomad, Alberta was born and raised in Italy, has lived in California and now works in London, as Director of End-to-End Service Design at Lloyds Banking Group. Leading a team of systems thinkers and service designers, she's looking at shaping the future of financial services by transforming the organization from within.
Alberta sketchnotes the meetings she attends (and there are many), is a resolute ice hockey player and cares deeply about the very small things that, she says, "matter a lot".
Patrick Hamann – Fastly

Patrick is a Web Performance Engineer at Fastly where – amongst other things – he is helping to build a faster web for all. Prior to Fastly, helped architect some of the world's largest media websites including The Guardian and The Financial Times. When not speaking or ranting about performance he enjoys spending his spare time discovering new food and craft beer.
