Bramus Van Damme – Beyond the Spec: Cranking View Transitions up to 11 (Safely, Maybe)Ever wondered what happens when you push the View Transition API beyond its documented limits? This talk throws caution to the wind and explores the wild side of View Transitions, cranking them up to 11. We'll combine them with Scroll-Driven Animations, trigger them automatically with MutationObserver, and even resurrect classic Internet Explorer’s Page Transitions using this modern API. Prepare for unconventional use cases, unexpected results, and a healthy dose of experimentation as we venture beyond the spec. If you're a web developer who loves to tinker and push boundaries, this is the talk for you. |

Léonie Watson – Do Androids Dream of Accessible Webs? The web is shifting from something we use to something that acts on our behalf. Agentic AI promises systems that read, decide, negotiate, and optimise for us, but when algorithms become our representative, a deeper question arises: who is it actually representing? Drawing on lessons the web has already learned about mediation, semantics, and proxy-experience, this talk uses accessibility as a stress test for agentic systems. It explores where agents fracture first, and what that reveals about whether they are built to serve people, or merely optimise for statistical averages. |

Fiona Safari – The Art of Connection: How to Thrive at Work and Beyond as an Introvert⚡ Lightning Talk Have you ever felt like your quiet nature holds you back in a loud world? As an introvert, I used to think that being reserved meant I’d struggle to connect or stand out. But over time, I realised that introversion can actually be a strength, it just requires a different approach. I’m Fiona, and I’m the kind of person who enjoys quiet corners, long hours in cafés, and time with a good book. I love spending time with people too, but after a few hours of meetings or group discussions, my energy feels drained. It’s not that I don’t enjoy others’ company; it’s simply how I recharge. Accepting that was a big step, but it didn’t mean life suddenly became easier. There are still moments in work meetings, collaborations, or networking events, where staying quiet can mean staying unseen. In this talk, I’ll share my journey of learning how to navigate those moments, build genuine connections, and communicate with confidence without pretending to be someone I’m not. Because in the end, thriving at work and in life isn’t about changing who you are, it’s about finding your own way to connect, contribute, and be heard. |

Alistair Shepherd – Bill and Ted’s accessibility adventure: Accessibility testing for developers⚡ Lightning Talk As Bill and Ted discovered in their excellent adventure, it can be easier to learn through hijinks, trials and practice than through reading. How can we learn from their experience to get better at web accessibility? Considering accessibility is essential for our work, but it has a high barrier to entry and reading guides and specifications only gets you so far. Through my experience training a front-end development team I've discovered that learning accessibility testing is an easy and effective way of mastering it. With the guidance of Bill and Ted we'll explore the ups and downs I went through teaching accessibility, and why focusing on testing works so well. You'll go away with not only an answer to how on earth these are related, but also a great strategy to benchmark your accessibility work and build up your accessibility skills in a way that will last. |

Cassie Evans – Game On!Cassie’s taking GSAP for a spin in a live-coded game, and the direction it takes is up to you. With input from the audience, the game will take shape in real time. Characters? Enemies? Explosions? Syntax errors that break the whole thing (hopefully not). Who knows, anything could happen. |

Phil Hawksworth – Learning along the wayOver the years I've worked on all sorts of projects and with a wide variety of clients. I've experimented with lots of tools and technologies. Each has taught me something. Let's talk about the balance between faking it until you make it, and building expertise through experience and getting outside our comfort zone. Let's look at the chances we get to learn through doing and through playing. And let's reflect on some odd learning moments, and seek out ways we can embrace such moments for the future. |
